There’s something special about experiencing your brand outside the walls of your store; watching people pause, touch, ask questions, smile, and connect with the pieces you’ve created.
This past weekend, we had the joy of attending the Artisan Makers Market, May Souk at The Shamba, and what a beautiful experience it was for us.
It was our very first time being part of the market, and we left feeling incredibly grateful — to the amazing team behind it, to everyone who stopped by our space, and to the community that continues to support intentional, locally made design 🤍
One of our favourite parts was simply interacting with all of you. Seeing you engage with our products, hearing your thoughts, watching you discover pieces that resonated with you; those moments reminded us why we do what we do.
Favourite pieces that we showcased
We were excited to showcase a range of Lamu Decor pieces, including some of our favourite furniture designs:
The Maua Coffee Table
The Maua Console
The Malindi Mirror

Other pieces showcased
Alongside many other pieces we showcased throughout the market, we curated a collection designed to elevate and bring character into your home.
From statement furniture to thoughtful decor details, we were also proud to feature pieces from our partner brand, Exotic Design — beautifully crafted from recycled brass and metal materials, blending sustainability with timeless artistry.

Beyond showcasing our work, we also got to connect with our community in such a meaningful way and even welcomed new clients into the Lamu Decor family, which means the world to us.
To everyone who came by our stand, shared kind words, made a purchase, or simply took the time to experience our work — thank you.
Moments like these remind us that design is not just about creating products. It’s about creating connection, community, and spaces that feel personal.
Until the next market 🤍
